DigitalGlue’s John Brendle to Present Session on the Proper Technology for Live Distribution at WFX 2016 Conference and Expo in Louisville

North Point Ministries’ Clete Terrell to Support Presentation by Discussing How His Church Implemented Technology for a Real-Life Model

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA – September 19, 2016 – DigitalGlue’s Senior Sales Engineer John Brendle will be speaking at the WFX 2016 Conference and Expo to be held in Louisville, KY from September 20 – September 22. Organized by the WFX Network — Worship Facilities magazine, Worship Tech Directors, WFX Conference & Expo and WFX REACH, the event provides education and training on new tools and technologies, and encourages networking and exposure to innovative ideas for ministry and management alike. Brendle will be sharing his expertise on the solutions and challenges of live broadcasting over private and public IP during a session entitled: “Choosing Technology that Meets Your Live Distribution Requirements”. The session is scheduled for September 22 from 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM. The company, who also presented at the recent WFX REACH events, will have an exhibitor booth located at 1109.

Clete Terrell, Director of Video Systems at North Point Ministries, will join Brendle to discuss technology solutions necessary for Houses of Worship to deliver reliable, low cost, live broadcast-quality video over public Internet. Brendle, a broadcast and information technology professional, specializes in implementing effective IPTV Test & Measurement solutions, while remaining focused on strong customer relationships. New to WFX, Clete Terrell understands the convergence of technology with the ministry. North Point Ministries is a prime example of a local church that grew in its use of technology and henceforth created positions for technical minded people to serve. As the Director of Video Systems, Clete leads and develops an enthusiastic team of 120 video volunteers as well as maintains North Point’s video equipment.

“We are looking forward to expanding on our discussion from the local REACH events about utilizing the appropriate tools for live distribution,” commented Brendle. “There are several available options for distribution including telco, direct fiber, and satellite delivery; our goal is to work with houses of worship to develop a distribution plan that is optimally best for them.”

The company will also address the challenges and important points of transitioning from closed to open architecture, such as cost of satellite versus IP, the difference between broadcast video and streaming video, and the trouble with MPEG content in IP packets. Traditional methods of distribution and alternatives will also be addressed with regard to cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and realistic ability to deploy these methods.

About North Point Ministries
North Point Ministries, Inc., was founded in 1995 with the vision of creating churches that unchurched people love to attend. Since its inception, NPM has grown from one church to six in metro Atlanta and has developed a global network of more than thirty strategic partner churches.

Each week, more than 30,000 people attend services at NPM churches. Each month, sermons and leadership messages are accessed over one million times via North Point websites.

Though methods have evolved over the years, the mission has always been to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s what they do, whether at their Atlanta-area churches, at one of the partnerships around the world, or through many online and broadcast offerings.

They are committed to equipping other church leaders who want to create churches that unchurched people love to attend by passing on what we’ve learned.
