New Enhancements for ProMedia Live and ProMedia Package/Origin
The latest version of ProMedia Live software not only enhances overall video quality, but also offers users the choice of optimizing either VQ or transcoding density. The new VQ and Density modes allow operators to take advantage of high VQ operating points for premium services, or higher density with acceptable VQ for long-tail services. The new version of ProMedia Live also integrates Jünger Level Magic™ audio level adjustment, which allows automated alignment of audio levels across multiple services for both IP and SDI sources. Audio input codecs supported include MPEG-1 Layer 2, AAC, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus, while output codecs include MPEG-1 Layer 2, AAC and Dolby Digital Plus.
New features for ProMedia Package/Origin facilitate integration into CMS or DRM systems. Teletext subtitle conversion allows customers to insert XML-format subtitles on HDS, HLS, Smooth Streaming and RTMP streams. Other features include Dolby Digital Plus audio support for HLS streams; slate insertion or blackout triggered by SCTE-35 messages; and multi-DRM support for HLS streams.
